Auto-Responders Myths Shattered!

The number of myths about the use of auto-responders is astounding. If you want to maximize your email marketing, then you need to realize the truth about the use of auto-responders.

MYTH # 1 – UNLIMITED MEMBERS SAVES MONEY

Many auto-responder companies market themselves as having unlimited size lists for a flat fee. They have convinced marketers that this is better. The larger auto-responder companies like? GetResponse, AWeber, or ConvertKit?charge you based on the size of your list. Unlimited must save lots of money, right?

The reality is that all auto-responders are cheap when compared to the income that lists can generate if used properly. You don’t need 10,000 people on a list to make serious money.

If you are keeping your list clean of those who have not opened or clicked an email in the last 6 months, then you can have a small, super-responsive list that should generate a minimum of $1 per month per list member. Most generate much more.

AWeber starts at $19 per month for 500 subscribers. Get Response is $15 per month for 1,000 subscribers. ConvertKit is $29 per month for 1,000 subscribers. If you go over that number, the price for 2,500 goes up by about $20. If you are making $1,000 a month from your list and are now growing to $2,500 a month, do you think you will be worried about an extra $20?

MYTH # 2 – DOUBLE OPT-IN IS BETTER

Better for who? Better for the auto-responder company? Absolutely! Better for the marketer? Not a chance!

If you want to build a list, then you want to “minimize friction” when it comes to getting people subscribed to your list. We design processes to try to make it as easy as possible for people to join. We reduce the number of pieces of information we ask to the bare minimum. Maybe we just ask for an email address, instead of an email address and name.

After doing everything to make it easy, why would we make a large hurdle for someone to jump over as the last step? It makes no sense.

Frequently, the confirmation emails end up in spam folders or being delivered an hour after the person filled in the form. This is why 20-50% of those who join a double opt-in list never confirm their accounts. They wanted to join, but they never made it to your list.

You cannot find a single 7 or 6 figure online marketer that uses double opt-in. If single opt-in beats double opt-in for them, why not for us?

MYTH # 3 – DOUBLE OPT-IN IS REQUIRED

Some people think that double opt-in is required by law in certain countries, like Canada and Germany. That is absolutely false.

Some countries require “Express Consent” but that does not mean double opt-in. Single opt-in shows “Express Consent” by law.

No country requires double opt-in legally.

MYTH # 4 – DOUBLE OPT-IN PREVENTS ABUSE

Double opt-in prevent spam abuse. Yes, it does, because someone else cannot sign you up for a list without access to your email account to click the confirmation email.

However, the risk of this happening is extremely low and abuse is very easy to spot. It is like eliminating all the doors and windows in your house to prevent burglars. Very effective, but not practical. We have to balance security with access.

Recommended Auto-Responder Programs

Do we currently recommend only Get Response, ConvertKit, and AWeber due to the ability to set up your campaigns/list as a single opt-in. Single opt-in is the accepted standard for professional email marketers. If you choose double opt-in instead, expect that 20-50% of the people you refer to your list will not make it into your autoresponder due to delayed confirmation emails or spam filtering. Losing 50% of your hard-earned subscribers is not acceptable in my opinion.

Here Is Why You Need To Use Landing Pages

All the products that you want to sell online are ready. You have already signed up with the Google Adsense program or with other affiliate marketing programs and you have already prepared the ad you want to post on your affiliate site.

Your mind is now set to being the next most successful online businessman. But is there anything else that you might have forgotten to prepare? Maybe none. But how about your landing pages? Are they all set for your business?

What are landing pages?

Landing pages are simply web pages where visitors are directed to whenever they click a result in a web search or whenever they click a web ad.

For affiliate marketing, landing pages would refer to the web page where you, as a merchant, would want your potential customer to be directed after clicking your ad on your affiliate website.

Landing pages are, at most times, nothing really different from other web pages on a particular website, especially if the said website is an e-commerce site.

Some online businessmen would even use the homepage of their websites as the landing page for their ads. Are these businessmen making a big mistake? Or should you follow their method in creating landing pages for their ads?

Well, you can always follow what most online retailers do, directing their potential customers to the homepages of their websites.

But if you want to achieve something more from your online business, and if you want to earn a lot of profits, you better create a special landing page for your web ads. Why? Here are a few reasons why you need to use landing pages for your web ads. And take note, it would do you a lot better if you create a great landing page than a so-so one.

Reason no. 1: It is the only way you earn conversions in an affiliate marketing program.

There are a variety of affiliate marketing programs today, but most of these programs let the merchant pay the affiliate in a pay per click basis.

Basically, all you have to do is sign up with the program and submit your ad. The program owner would then distribute your ad to various affiliates who would then place your ad on their websites.

Whenever your ad is clicked, a visitor would be directed to your landing page and you would have to pay the affiliate for his service.

As a merchant, you earn in an affiliate program through conversions? that is whenever a visitor that is directed to your site actually buys a product on your site. Without these conversions, you actually earn nothing from the program. Also, the more visitors that your affiliates have directed to your site, the larger would your expense be. And the only way that you can recover from these expenses is through conversions.

Now, you sure won’t get any conversion if you have posted an ad on your affiliate’s site without an actual landing page for the potential customer to be redirected into.

It’s just like advertising a product without actually having a store to sell your product. Your advertisement may be enticing enough to encourage people to purchase a product, but without the landing page, how will they know how to purchase the product

It is therefore important to have landing pages for your ads because it is the only way for you to earn something in an affiliate program. Without landing pages, all you do is spend money paying your affiliates without actually getting anything in return.

Reason no. 2: Other web pages may just not be enough.

Many people make the mistake of making their website’s homepage as the landing page for their ads. The same is true for those who make use of other pages like a “contact us” page or a product page.

Homepages are often designed to serve multiple users and contain a lot of links to other pages or to other websites.

The same is with the other two pages mentioned. If you want to be successful in an affiliate program, we’re sure that you don’t want your landing page to cater to the needs of various people, most of which may not be really interested in your product.

When choosing a landing page, you must always have the customer directed into that page in mind. Therefore, your landing page must be relevant to the keywords and the contents you placed on your ad. It is also important that the landing page can induce your visitor to take action? that is to purchase your product or at least provide leads for potential customers.

Final Word

You probably entered into an affiliate marketing program with these things in mind: to save on advertising expenses and to gain more profit.

But if you get into an affiliate marketing program without actually having a landing page, you’ll end up paying too much without getting anything in return.

So if you still don’t have a landing page for your ads, you better start creating one now. And don’t get us wrong; it isn’t enough for you to have just a landing page?it should be a great landing page!

7 Reasons Why AWeber is the Best Autoresponder for Beginners

They say that the money is on the list and if do you want to build a list you will need an autoresponder and Aweber is one of the best. And in this post, I am going to give you 5 reasons why Aweber is the best autoresponder in the for beginners.

Aweber was a leading autoresponder service for many years but at some point in the last 3 to 4 years they become stagnant and many companies left them behind, Active Campaign, Getresponse, and Convertkit to name few surpassed Aweber in many features but it is still a great service.

After saying all that it is important to know that even though I use Convertkit as my main autoresponder, I am still a fan of Aweber, I still have an active account with them and it is what I recommend to those getting started.

They are a little behind in terms of adding features, but they’re getting there and trying to keep up without raising prices, which I appreciate. It is reasonably easy to use and it’s definitely the more affordable option.

7 Reasons Why AWeber is the Best Autoresponder for Beginners

7 Reasons Why AWeber is the Best Autoresponder for Beginners

So, here are the top 5 reasons you should choose to use AWeber for its autoresponders especially if you are a beginner.

1: It is easy to use

I have used a share of the autoresponder, most of them they will require a huge learning curve to get to understand them, for me if you’re just getting started in list building you do not need most of the fancy features, you just need an autoresponder that can do the job, ie send email to your prospects and customers.

2: It is cheaper

How much does Aweber cost?

Current there are 5 Aweber plans on offer:

  • From 0 up to 500 subscribers: $19 per month
  • 501 to 2,500 subscribers: $29 per month
  • 2,501 to 5,000 subscribers: $49 per month
  • 5,001 to 10,000 subscribers: $69 per month
  • 10,001 to 25,000 subscribers: $149 per month

If you have 25,000+ subscribers, you will need to call Aweber for a quote.

So, let us compare the first price point (most beginners will start there), with from closest rivals, Covertkit and Getresponse.

Aweber vs Convertkit

From 0 to 1000 subscribers you pay $29 with that money you can get up to 2500 subscribers in Aweber.

Aweber Vs Getresponse

Actually Getresponse is cheaper than Aweber, you pay $15 per month up to 1000 subscribers, but there is a catch with that, you just get basic features, you do not get the automation if you want automation and other cool features they rave about you need to pay $45 per month for just 1000 subscribers.

With Aweber, you get everything when you pay $19 and they keep improving their product

3 You can import your list

A few years ago, Aweber used to be very strict on importing a list from other sources, if you wanted to import a list you had to send in a confirmation email to your list.

Now it is optional, actually, you can import a list in your Aweber account without sending a confirmation email.

This is a very useful feature for beginners, when I started I moved from one autoresponder to another a lot, not having this feature can help you to move your subscribers without running a risk that they won’t confirm again.

4 You can turn off double opt-in

For those who do not know, double opt-in is when a person joins your list needs to confirm that so that they can start receiving your emails.

A single option is when the prospect does not need to confirm.

The problem of double opt-in is that most people will forget to confirm their email and if you’re new and on a tight budget, you will be losing a lot of potential customers.

Aweber allows you to turn off double opt-in and select a single option, this is great for the growth of your email list.

5) Extremely Professional landing page & templates

You can honestly create a very professional landing page and start ailing list form with AWeber.

You just follow these simple steps:

  • Choose any template or design
  • Choose the colors, fonts, and words that leave an impact on your potential subscribers.
  • Select a redirection to a thank you page or send them back to the current page.
  • Simply copy the codes and place them on your webpage.

It is not as good as Clickfunnels but it can do a decent job and save some money, especially when you’re under budget, again this is included in all plans, you do not need to pay extra for it.

6) Easy Integration With a Ton of Plugins Including WordPress

Another way that Aweber makes life simpler, is through the power of integrations. When you complete custom design, you can choose to:

  • Personally install the codes
  • Ask AWeber to host the form for you
  • Send it to your web designer to do for you

Aweber has integration with almost every tool that you need to build your business, with few clicks you can integrate Aweber with landing page builders like Clickfunnels and WordPress.

With these integrations, I am able to build my followers pretty much instantly. I have honestly tried many other email marketing solutions before finally using AWeber.

7) RSS to Email

For bloggers, this is truly a useful feature. That is because it will save you a lot of time. So, if you want to keep your blog followers up to date on your new posts, then it could be very time consuming to come up with a new newsletter to send to them.

This is why AWeber’s RSS to email feature is so vital. This technology automatically sends your latest blogs straight to your subscriber’s inbox.

It literally automates email notifications at any time that you choose. It’s a pretty irreplaceable feature in itself.

How to Get AWeber

So, I’m hoping that you are ready to get on board with AWeber. It will be the best investment you can make into the future of your business. There are some pretty impressive advantages to this email marketing software. I know this because I use it to grow my online business.

It’s the best product of its kind available, it is reasonably priced, easy to use, and contains most of the key features you’d expect from an email marketing solution.

Additionally, it’s not too expensive by comparison to some competing products, especially Active Campaign and Convertkit.
