When you upload the video on Youtube make sure you include your main keyword in the title, in the tags, and in the description.

Recently I went through the one way funnel challenge, one of the things I learned there was the importance of the hook, story, offer in order to sell more products online.

The main idea of having a good back story is that more people can relate themself to you,  you need to be able to tell the story of you before you were successful.

You will gain more influence over your audience when you have a good back story. This is your personal story about how you started and how you got to where you are today.

Without a good back story, your audience will not warm to you as much and you will not get as much free traffic as you could from Facebook.

Use the Zero to Hero approach

Most people start their business from nothing so be sure to add a “zero to hero” element to your back story. You want to give your audience hope that they can do the same thing as you start from scratch.

We are not suggesting that you are dishonest in any way with your back story. But emphasizing that it was a real struggle for you to start with is something that most of your audience will resonate with.

However, if you’re in this for the long-haul and you have selected products that hopefully your customers will renew, it’s imperative to find products that have a great retention rate so you can be sure your customers will stick around.

And the biggest factor of this I’ve seen is in the customer service category.

Make sure there’s a way for your customers to chat with the company’s rep 24/7 or quickly get a response when they’re sending an email.

I know many people who want to start an online business but they hesitate, many of these people really want to succeed but they found barriers that keep them from starting an online business, here are the main barriers to affiliate marketing success and how to overcome them.

Many people I know will tell me that ”I am intimidated by the technology; I’m not a technical person”.

This is another reason why most people stay on the fence and never get started with anything in life, they want to know everything before they get started.

Here is my advice, just start, make mistakes, try stuff, and adjust, don’t get stuck in the “I need one more course, one more book, etc.” trap.

Imagine you want to go upstairs and you have to walk 100 stairs, you do not need to be able to see all of them in order to start going up, you just need to know in which stair you’re at and the next one, the rest does not matter, this is the same when it comes to affiliate marketing.

Just take one step at a time and you will be ok.

I don’t have enough time to do this

When I talk to my friends about starting affiliate marketing most of them will tell me that they do not have time, some of them because of the job, some of the kids, church, etc.

I am not going to tell you to quit your job while you are making $0 per day ( that is just stupid), or leave your kids unattended, I know those things are a must, here is my recommendation.

Start by doing small every day, you can start a youtube channel and dedicate two hours of each and every day, in one hour you can record a 3 to 5 minutes video, edit it and upload to Youtube.

You can free up your time by eliminating time-wasters like watching tv or Netflix, watching cat videos on youtube, or by getting up earlier than usual and do everything you need to get done before starting your normal daily job schedule.

For me, I used to work after finishing my 9 to 5 job, after that I will write emails, send traffic to my squeeze pages till late at night, after some time I started to see an improvement in traffic, subscribers, and income.

Let say that you send 100 people to an affiliate offer and 5 people end up buying the product, if do you want to double your income you will need to send 200 people to that offer, but if you could apply the strategies I share with you in this post, you can send the same 100 people to the same offer and 10 people will buy, this is that powerful.

How to improve your affiliate sales conversion in 6 steps.

Step 1: Be congruent

The first thing you need to do is to offer relevant content to the right people. These are people who have certain problems. The content that you must present must address those problems. This way, people who have a certain problem and are looking for solutions will be drawn to your content that dwells on those problems.

If you promote a weight loss offer, you need to share more content about different tips and methods to lose weight, you will attract people who want to lose weight, and when you offer them a product they will end up buying it and thanking you for it.

Step 2: Offer valuable information

After making sure that you are congruent with your content, you need to make sure that content is valuable, it needs to be information that people can actually use it and get results.

When people go to your social media page or a blog, make sure you give them what they came for. They obviously have problems, so give them the solution to that.

It doesn’t get any simpler than that. However, keep in mind that there is a big difference between conventional wisdom and tried and proven solutions. You are going to use both. But you are going to tease them so as to get them to buy whatever it is you are promoting.

Step 3: Shoot down alternatives and position your offer as better.

This is massive for your online success. You are going to provide valuable information. If people have a problem, you are going to give them the solution to their problem.

You are not going to play around. You are going to offer real value. Here’s the trick. You are going to give the information, but you are also to tease them and tell them that if they are looking for something faster, more convenient, cheaper, or more powerful, click here.

This way, they got what they came for but you also opened their minds to something better. That’s marketing. Because otherwise, you are just being a reporter.

You are just basically giving them the stuff that they came for without getting anything in return. You are not going to make money as an affiliate if you do that.

You have to shoot down the common solutions to the problem that you are offering.  Then, position your offer as something better.

Step 4: Build credibility through supporting content

It’s not enough for you to say that I have a better way of doing things. You have to walk your talk. You have to present some case studies.

You have to show some video or infographic diagrams to prove to the reader that you know what you are talking about. This builds credibility because the more credible your solution becomes, the more likely people would buy it.

Step 5: Filter interests using deep content

With each supporting piece of content that you link to your website, you are drawing the prospect deeper and deeper into the conversion funnel.

You have to understand that there’s going to be a lot of people reading your stuff.  But at the end of the process, only a very few will read article after article until they reach a sales page.

Those are the people that you are trying to reach.  Those are the people that you are trying to convert. You do this by making sure that each link that they go to leads to credible information with a lot of supporting content.

Also, the deeper they get into your website, the more finely tuned the content is as far as their interests are concerned.

Having your own email list is the best way to build a long term online business, if you do not have one, you need to start today.

You can send emails educating your subscribers about issues and problems in your niche, you can send them to your blog posts, and each time when you recommend a solution to a certain problem you can use your affiliate link and if they buy, you guessed it right, you will make money.

Using video content

You can create a Youtube channel and create a niche related content. You can create educational videos for your visitors on different topics in your niche again inside the video you can advise your viewers to check out a certain product if it can help them to solve their current issues.

If you have some knowledge and experience in your niche and you feel comfortable sharing your knowledge, you can make a good income by teaching others.

You can create a simple course and in it, you can recommend other people products using your affiliate links, this way you will be making money twice, first by selling people your course and then recommending people to other products through your affiliate link and make some affiliate commission.

For example, you can create a course about programming and teach people how to develop a program and during the course, you can recommend some books from Amazon so that your students can get more information and at the same time if they buy those books you will get paid.

I used this method a lot, if I have a friend who is looking to buy something online, I will recommend the product and then send them my affiliate link.

I have done this by sending people to my hosting link, amazon links, and even Clickbank products, all you need to do is if people you know are looking to buy a service or a product, and they mention it to you, give them an honest opinion on which product is the best and send them your link.

Since those people know and trust you, your conversion ratio will be high and you will make many sales this way and you can use the money you generate to invest more in your business.

When promoting an affiliate offer, there are many small tips and strategies that you will want to keep in mind so that you can be successful. In this post, I am going to share with you various tips that can take you to affiliate marketing success.

Become an expert.

To build trust with your audience, you should know as much as possible about the product you are promoting. Too many affiliate marketers end up failing because they don’t realize that they need to know the product in order to promote it.

Knowing the product will help you promote the product better, explain it to your audience better, and you will be able to share your personal experience with the product – which are all things that you must-do if you want to successfully promote an affiliate product to your audience.

Focus on just a few affiliate programs.

Being too scattered can actually cause you to lose out on income. Due to this, I recommend starting out with 1 main affiliate program and maybe 2 or three other affiliate programs that complement the main program.

For example, if you are promoting a hosting service, you can compliment your customers by recommending them an autoresponder to build their list, a domain registrar for their domain.

Later on, you can determine whether or not you are overwhelmed, and if not, you can add more affiliate programs and products.

Inform your audience about sales.

Companies have sales all the time, and this can be a great way to let your followers know about a deal while also promoting an affiliate link. Plus, people love a good sale, so this can create a sense of urgency so that they want to sign up!

You could include sale information in a roundup blog post, on social media, in an email blast announcing the sale, and more.

Add more affiliate links.

In all of my posts, I try to include at least one affiliate link, or I link to a post of mine that already has an affiliate link in it (such as an affiliate review or tutorial).

Include affiliate links in three main places.

When you are talking specifically about an affiliate product in a blog post (such as a review, tutorial, interview, etc.), you should include a link to that product in at least three specific places throughout your content.

I recommend placing an affiliate link in the beginning to introduce the product, one somewhere in the middle of your content, and another at the end in your call to action.

This way, your reader is able to easily spot your affiliate link.

Don’t go overboard.

There is no need to include an affiliate link 1,000 times per blog post. Include them at the beginning, middle, and end of your post, and readers will notice it. And, remember, balance is needed for successful affiliate marketing.

Not every single blog post should be an affiliate review unless your website is solely for product reviews. You will still want to keep your regular publishing schedule because that is what attracted your audience in the first place.

Add affiliate links to inexpensive products.

Many people skip over promoting inexpensive or even free affiliate products. However, you shouldn’t neglect the inexpensive products!

Even the most inexpensive product may be something that your reader wants to buy. Plus, if they end up buying other things on a website, you may receive sales for those as well.

Just think about it: You may link to a $5 product on Amazon, but then that person may end up ordering many other items as well, and you get credit for all of them as long as they purchase everything within a certain timeframe.

I know someone who does this regularly and they have a great success story. One time they linked to something small on Amazon (I believe it was a pair of scissors), and a reader ended up buying home decor for a bunch of homes that they were decorating, which ended up being tens of thousands of dollars. This blogger then received affiliate commissions for all of these products, even though it all started with something small.

Here’s an example of what I often do: For some of the digital products I promote (such as online courses, ebooks, etc.), the owner of the product will sometimes have an affiliate link for a freebie for their product (such as a video tutorial for something related where they have to sign up just using their email address).

I almost always make that my main affiliate link for an affiliate product if I can, as that way my sales are still tracked afterward, but the owner of the product is doing the hard selling.

You can see an example of this in my affiliate interview How To Work From Home Selling On Amazon FBA. Instead of linking to a product that a reader can buy, I link to a freebie which then allows the product owner (a true expert of the product) to promote their products to the reader instead.

By introducing a freebie to my reader, they can learn more about the product and the company owner, and get a feel for whether or not they are truly interested. I’ve found that this converts fairly well and it’s a win-win for everyone!

Look at your statistics.

There is no exact formula for what will work with your audience. Due to this, you may have some trial and error.

But, that’s completely okay!

A way to know if something is working or not is to look at your Google Analytics and see what’s popular and what is not. Luckily, Google Analytics makes it quite easy to look at the traffic a specific affiliate blog post has received.

If something doesn’t seem to be gaining traffic, then you may want to try something different with it. Or, perhaps, you just need to promote it more on social media!

Share how the product has impacted you.

Showing your audience how a particular product has positively impacted your life can be a great way to introduce your reader to a product.

For example, I publish monthly income reports that show how much I am earning through blogging. This means I am able to also effectively promote blogging-related affiliate products, such as web hosting, my favorite blogging tools, and more.

Sharing my experience helps to show others that I am an expert, and it shows why my audience needs the product if they want to follow the same path.
